FRIENDS OF THE EARTH | BIOFUEL CAMPAIGN
Friends of the Earth (FoE) recommissioned FL@33 for their Stop Biofuel Targets campaign. They asked us help them illustrate an idea they had in mind of an aesthetic visual with a twist.
___ Things are not what they seem. At first sight the hose pump and its biofuel is the source of a cheerful psychedelic, flower-power-style explosion of flowers while on closer inspection the flowers reveal details of monkey skulls, traffic jams and deforestation – representing some of the many negative aspects of excessive biofuel production.
___ The individual mandala-style visuals (without stems and fuel pump) were also prepared separately for FoE's inhouse design team in order for them to be able to use them as campaign elements for additional communication materials such as brochure covers, posters, postcards, etc.
