RCA SECRET 2015 | TOMI VOLLAUSCHEK'S
POSTCARD CONTRIBUTIONS (4 OF 8)
Shown here are four mixed-media postcard contributions by FL@33's Tomi Vollauschek interpreting the theme of 'secrets' that he also tackled typographically with his experimantal 2009 postcard contributions.
___ Another four FL@33 2015 contributions created by Agathe Jacquillat were posted on a separate project page – you can see them here.
___ Agathe and Tomi contributed a total of eight postcards for Stewarts Law RCA Secret 2015 – the 21st postcard exhibition and fundraising sale. The first three postcards shown here (#87, #254, #670) were on display at London's Royal College of Art (12–20 March 2015, Sale: 21 March), the last one (#666) was part of this year's RCA Secret Dubai exhibition (18–21 March 2015). All proceeds support students at the Royal College of Art.
___ The postcard with the blue back travelled all the way to Dubai for the exhibition and who knows were their new homes are. We would certainly love to know. Bought one or more? Please do let us know and send us a picture or two of the framed postcards for this very website.

THE SECRET
Prices for these original works of art increased over the years but are still available for a reasonable £55 (considering that some sell for thousands of pounds at auctions sometimes). You guess who it's by. The postcards are signed only on the reverse. The author of each work remains a secret until after the cards are purchased and the signature on the back is revealed.
___ There are usually 2,500 – 3,000 postcards on display (indeed 3,000 in 2015 by 1,100 contributors) and as we wrote in FL@33's book Postcard (Laurence King, 2008):
Viewers (...) must pretend not to be disappointed if they mistake a FL@33 card (such as those featured here) for a Damien Hirst or David Bowie...
