New Typographic Design

The book features seven FL@33 projects in the categories Type as Image and Type in Motion.

One of the featured projects is a previously unreleased typographic experiment. It was created in 2004 and fine-tuned in late 2006 for the book New Typographic Design. The typeface is based on a mechanical, grid-based alphabet found on signage and information city displays – including Paris where we first noticed them. We designed animated sequences to show how it could be used in different environments. Some of the stills and
a little animation test are shown here.
